Trainee.

John was born in Phoenix and lived there all
of his life and attended Moon Valley High
School.
He enlisted in the Marines in February 1967
and after completing his training John was
issued orders for Vietnam.Upon arriving in
Vietnam 29 February 1968 John was assigned
to HMM-362,MAG-15,1st Marine Air Wing.
John died of multiple injuries to his body
when he was aboard a UH-34D #150212 that
collided in mid air with another UH-34D
#143965,11 kilometers south of Danang City.
There were no survivors from either UH-D.
Survived by his parents,John V & Dorothy B
Harrington of 2635 West Larkspur Ave and his
sister,Dottie Burney all of Phoenix,AZ.

LCpl Harrington was awarded 5 Air Medals and
a Purple Heart.
