Roger Allen "Budro" Winkler passed away on Saturday, Dec. 18, 2010, in Poth, Texas, at the age of 24 years. He was born in San Antonio on June 6, 1986, to Billy Winkler and Rebecca Winkler.

Roger attended Sacred Heart Catholic School in Floresville and Poth High School, graduating in 2004. He grew up in the small tight-knit communities of Poth and Kosciusko. He enjoyed all sports and other outdoor activities. He spent many days working with his Uncle Sam learning to play golf. He was an avid hunter and raised and trained his own dogs for hunting. Roger loved the "Southern Strangers" band. He would be so proud of the memorial dedication they held in his honor on Friday night.

He participated in many barbecue cook-offs. Roger gave 110 percent in everything he did. He loved his family, always giving guidance to his brother and his friends.

He will be greatly missed, this beautiful person. He had a tough exterior, but a kind heart.
