Carrie E. Wenrich, 81, Womelsdorf, formerly of Strausstown, died Sept. 6 in St. Joseph Medical Center, where she had been admitted earlier in the day.

Her first husband, Ralph P. Wenrich Sr., died in 1999. She was then married to Clarence B. Ohlinger, who died in 2006.
Born in Shoemakersville, she was a daughter of the late William H. and Geneva E. (DeLong) Waxwood.
She was a volunteer for many years at the Strausstown Auto Show where she worked in the kitchen serving barbecue chicken dinners.

Wenrich also was a member of the Blue Mountain 50-Plus Club, Bethel, where she enjoyed the many bus tours they offered.
Survivors include a daughter, Shirley J., wife of Richard Keller, Dauberville; and three sons: Robert R. Wenrich and wife, Helen, Dauberville; Elwood P. Wenrich Sr., Mohrsville; and Kerry E. Wenrich and wife, Gwen, Strausstown.
Other survivors include three sisters: Mary Bashore, Bethel; Marlene Wallace, Shoemakersville; and Wilma Leininger, Leesport.

There are also nine grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Services will be Sunday at 8 p.m. in the Kirkhoff Funeral Home, 206 N. Main St., Bernville, with the Rev. Victor Kroninger officiating. Burial will be private in Strausstown Cemetery. Friends may call Sunday from 6:30 to 8 p.m. in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Western Berks Ambulance, P.O. Box 2506, West Lawn, PA 19609.
