Born 3 August 1922 in Spring Hill (Township), MN; Ralph Charles was the fourth of seven children born to Henry Frank & Mary F. (Schoenberg) Braun.

Ralph married Delores Ann Schreder. Born 10 October 1928 in Saint Cloud, MN; Delores was the older of two children born to Michael John & Gertrude Ann (Gilles) Schreder.

Ralph graduated from Saint Cloud State University; then earned his Master's degree (ELEMENTARY EDUCATION) from University of North Dakota at Grand Forks. He taught mostly sixth grade in schools in the Minnesota towns of Sandstone, Big Falls, Palisade & Avon. In 1961, Ralph became a principle in the Osseo-Maple Grove school district; serving at Edgewood, Crestview, Cedar Island and Parkbrook elementary schools.

He retired in 1982. According to his wife, "his strength was in knowing every child by name and being able to talk with them on a one-on-one basis". He was active in Boy Scouts and in youth programs.

Ralph lost his battle with cancer on 30 June 1994 in Osseo, MN at age 71.

Ralph & Delores had one child – but also raised two foster children (David & Thomas Tripp):
