Willis H. ‘Sonny' Motley
Willis H. "Sonny" Motley, 64, died Monday, April 5, 2004, at Community Hospital South in Indianapolis. He was a resident of Greenwood.
He was born Oct. 11, 1939, in Portageville, Mo. His parents were George W. and Lois Inez (Hayes) Motley. He married Bertha F. (Stewart) Motley on Dec. 7, 1959. She survives. Other survivors include a son, David W. Motley of Unionville; two daughters, Penny L. and Mary A. Motley, both of Greenwood; a sister, Carol A. Sherron of Indianapolis; and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Claude B. Motley.
He was employed by Pepsi-Cola Co. as a service technician for 28 years, retiring in 2002.
He was a member of Greenwood Moose Lodge 2079 and Teamsters Local Union 135.
The Rev. Shan Rutherford will conduct a service at 1 p.m. Thursday at Forest Lawn Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Home, 1977 S. State Road 135 in Greenwood. Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Greenwood.
