Helen D. (Bailey) Marsh

Helen D. (Bailey) Marsh, 90, died Monday, Sept. 13, 2004, at St. Francis Hospital & Health Centers. She was a resident of Indianapolis.

She was born March 21, 1914, in Old Augusta. Her parents were Lexie R. and Hazel (Tomlinson) Bailey. She married Leo C. Marsh. He preceded her in death April 11, 1971. Survivors include a son, Lee Marsh of Indianapolis; a daughter, Janyce Blane of Montgomery, Texas; four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Howard Bailey; and four sisters, Mildred Wall, Mary Atchison, Florence Fowler and Ruth Green.

She was a self-employed beautician for 50 years, retiring in 1979.

She was a member of Beech Grove Chapter 465 Order of Eastern Star.

A service will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Singleton Community Mortuary and Memorial Center, 7602 Madison Ave. in Indianapolis. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the mortuary. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery in Indianapolis.
