Florence Ann Archer, 80, of Latham, passed away on Wednesday December 22, 2010.
Florence was born in Massillon, Ohio and was the daughter of the late Howard James Jones Sr. and Helen Kratsch Jones.
Surviving is her husband of 58 years, Roger Joseph Archer of Latham; daughters, Suzanne d'Aversa of Albany, Connie Fedden and husband Chris of Albany, Linda Moore and husband John of Pittsboro, NC, Alice Archer of Troy, and son, James Archer and wife Sharon of Asheville, NC. Also surviving is her brother Howard James Jones Jr. and wife Margie of Clarence Center, NY; grandchildren, Cheryl Fruiterman (David), David d'Aversa, Jon-Paul d'Aversa, and Marea Wright (Ken) all from Albany, Michael Moore (Tara), Andrew Moore, Daniel Moore, Bradley Archer (RaChelle), Rachel Archer, and Jerry Archer all of North Carolina, and six great grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her son-in-law, Robert d'Aversa.
Florence was a graduate of Capital University in Columbus, Ohio where she received her BS degree in Mathematics. She was a faithful member of the Lutheran Church of the Resurrection where she was the organist for nearly 40 years. Florence devoted her lifetime energies to her God, her family, and her friends.
Funeral services will be at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie. Interment will be in Memory Gardens.
