BOYDSTUN RITES ARE SATURDAY
Committall services for Cap. Robert L. Boydstun, Shawnee, will be Saturday in Memorial Park Cemetery. The procession will leave Hahn Memorial Chapel at 10 am. Rev. Harry Boydstun, his brother, of Shawnee, will officiate.

Boydstun, son of Mr. and Mrs. A. E. Boydstun, Shawnee, was killed June 10, 1944, in New Guinea. He was pilot of an A-20 attack bomber.

Born in Caddo, Bryan County, he was graduated from the Caddo Highschool where he was a star football player. In 1940-41 he attended Oklahoma City University where he played football, basketball and was on the track team. He was a member of Kappa Phi Fraternity at OCU.

He entered the army in February, 1942. After training at Bakersfield and Tulare, Calif., and Williams Field, Ariz., he went overseas. He had been overseas 14 months at the time of his death and had been awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross.

Survivors, other than his parents and Rev. Boydstun, include a sister, Mrs. Mary Davidson, Shawnee; brothers, Lieut. Emmett Boydstun, Fort Monmouth, N. J.; Frank Boydstun, Waco, Texas; Pfc Joe Boydstun, Fort Bragg, N. C.; his widow, Mrs. George Allen, and daughter, Karen Boydstun, both of 26 SE 35.
