SPAHR, Neil Melville Went willingly into the arms of his Lord Jesus, peacefully at St. Mary's Hospital on Thursday, February 6, 2014. Neil, of Wellesley, in his 87th year. Beloved companion of the late Betty Voisin (2001). Loving father of the Late Sharon Lynn Spahr (2013), Wendy Jane (Joseph Lewis) of Waterloo, Grant Neil Spahr of Wellesley, Catharine Ann (Randy Roes) of Newton and Patricia Joan (Terry Salmen) of Kitchener. Dear grandfather of Shannon, Stacy-Jo, Rebecka, Nathan, Lucas, Jillian, Nairn, Jacob and seven great-grandchildren. Will be sadly missed by his brother- in-law; Calvin Kelly, sister-in-law; Mildred Spahr of British Columbia and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Clayton and Katie (nee Wagner), his brothers; Grant and Jack and sister Eunice Kelly. Neil was a retired volunteer fire fighter in Wellesley for over 40 years, was a member of the Waterloo Orchid Society, the Wellesley Horticultural Society, an avid gardener, composter and enjoyed tolling the bells at 1st St. Paul's where he has been a lifelong member. Friends may call at the FUTHER-FRANKLIN FUNERAL HOME , 1172 Henry Street, Wellesley on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 1st St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 3620 Nafziger Road, Wellesley on Monday, February 10, 2014 at 11 a.m. Pastor Andy Schroth officiating.
