Obituary from the Statesman Journal, Monday, January 25, 1988:
"Silverton- Clarence C. "Peany" Greenfield, 77, died Saturday.
He was born in Phillipsburg, Kan. He moved to Silverton in 1936. He was a member of the Silverton Fire District board of directors, a veteran of World War II, a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, and the Silverton Elks. He was the waste water plant manager for the city of Silverton until he retired.
Survivors include his wife, Glada; son Rodger of Cottage Grove; and sister Mildred Cooper of Long Beach, Calif."
