She was born December 22, 1921 in Slaughterville, Georgia to Walter Britt and Nancy Aldridge Crews.
She lived in Ware County, Hoboken, Norfolk, Va., Fitzgerald and Jacksonville, Florida. Ms. Nancy worked for 31 years caring for the elderly before retiring at age 81.
She loved flowers, gardening, cooking, sewing and most of all, loved to help people. She was a member of Victory Baptist Church.
Survivors include: Two sons: Jerry E. Dryden(Judy) of Jacksonville; Ronald W. Dryden(Sara) of Fleming Island, Fl.; Three daughters: Betty Dryden Blair(Johnny) of Jacksonville, Fl.; Glenda Dryden Johnson(Glenn) of Callahan, Fl.; June Nancy Teague Beard of Folkston, Ga.; Seven Grandchildren; Six Great-grandchildren; Several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents and 15 siblings. Memorial Services will be Thursday, December 23, 2010 at Victory Baptist Church, Folkston at 10:00 AM, with Rev. Tim King and Jerry Dryden officiating.
Memorialization will be by Cremation.
The family requests Memorial Contributions to be made to Hospice of North East Florida, 4266 Sunbeam Rd., Jacksonville, Florida 32257.
