Faye Wheatley, age 69 of Irvington, KY died Friday, December 3, 2010 at Breckinridge Memorial Hospital. She was born in Breckinridge County on October 22, 1941, the daughter of the late Raymond & Lida Davis Harper. She was a homemaker who loved her cats, dogs and yard work. She was preceded in death by her husband, Claude Wheatley; brother, Ricky Harper; sisters, Betty Durbin, Barbara Simmons and Joan Dutschke. Faye is survived by 2 children, Kathy Horton of Irvington, KY and Donnie Wheatley of Louisville, KY; 5 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; 2 sisters, Bonnie Caringer of Irvington, KY and Debbie Strasburger of Caneyville, KY. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 7, 2010 at 12 p.m. at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home with burial in the Freedom Cemetery. Visitation on Monday 3:30-8 p.m. and after 8 a.m. Tuesday. Memorial contributions are requested to Faye Wheatley Memorial Fund in care of the funeral home.
