DEATH OF MRS. FRANKLIN REEVES
Margaret E. Reeves, wife of Benjamin Franklin Reeves, of Liberty Township, died at her home in the Rock neighborhood, Thursday, January 2, 1913, at 8 o'clock p.m. after a long illness from a complication of diseases.
Mrs Reeves's maiden name was Isgrig being the daughter of the late William Isgrig and Violette Lilvers. She was born October 23, 1845 and at the time of her death was 67 years, 2 months, and 29 days old, She was united in marriage to Mr. Benjamin Franklin Reeves on December 25, 1867 in Crawford County, Missouri and seven children were born to this union, five of who are grown and are worthy citizens. Two died in infancy. Those living are 4 sons and 1 daughter, Messrs Thomas A., George W., Albert L., Charles A., Reeves. and Mrs. Gertrude Crow.
Mrs. Reeves had been a member of the M. E. Church from girlhood and although unassuming and modest in her ever act, she was always striving to do good unto others, and was ever grateful to her creator. She had been afflicted in health for the past 10 years, but bore her afflictions with that fortitude that characterized her life work.
The funeral was conducted by Rev. M. A. Clayton at the Rock Cemetery on Saturday, January 4, at 11 o'clock and was attended by a large concourse of relatives and friends, many of whom were from a distance, to pay the last tribute of respect to a devoted wife, a loving mother, a good neighbor, and an excellent lady.
