Gilbert B. "Gil" Harriman
EDINBORO

Gilbert "Gil" Braymer Harriman, 94, of Edinboro died Monday, December 20, 2010 at St. Vincent Health Center. He was born in Union City on October 18, 1916, the son of the late George D. and Grace Braymer Harriman.

Gilbert served in the U.S. Navy for two years during WWII and also sang in the Navy Choir.

Gil was a lifetime member of the Edinboro Vol. Fire Department Fire Police, a member of the Erie & Warren County Fire Police Associations, and he was a member of the Union City Masonic Lodge.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Gertrude Kapplinger.

Survivors include his loving wife of 42 years, Roberta Patricia Weikel Harriman; a son, Charles R. Harriman and his wife, Peg, of Florida; and a sister, Gwendolyn Stevens of Linesville.

Friends may call at the Glunt Funeral Home, Edinboro, on Wednesday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. A service will be held there on Thursday at 11 a.m..

Burial will be in Venango Cemetery.
