Mrs. Alma Lucas Eckenrode, 73, 359 Wren Drive; Hollidaysburg, died Sunday morning, May 26,1996, at Hillview Care Center, following an extended illness.

She was born Oct. 19,1922, in Altoona, the daughter of Jesse and Alma (Brubaker) McGeary.

Mrs. Eckenrode was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church.

She was retired as a bookkeeper.

Surviving are four daughters: Carol Freet and Charlotte Harpster, both of Altoona, Jane Witt of Levittown and Grace Rodriguez of Hollidaysburg; three brothers: Daniel F. of Huntingdon Valley, Gerald R. and Donald, both of Warminster; three sisters; Marian Bompadre and Alice Chiusa, both in Florida, and Donna J. Covington of Norwood; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and noon to 1 p.m. Wednesday at Stevens
Mortuary.

ECKENRODE—Services for Alma Lucas Eckenrode of 359 Wren Drive, Hollidaysburg, will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, at Stevens Memorial Chapel by Father Ed Eckenrod. Interment at Carson Valley Cemetery. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and noon to 1 p.m. Wednesday at Stevens Mortuary Inc., 14218th Ave. Mrs. Eckenrode was preceded in death by two brothers: James McGeary and Robert McGeary. The family requests memorial contributions be made to the Shriners Burn Corps, c/o the Jaffa Temple, P.O. Box 1984, Altoona, Pa. 16603.
