The funeral for Ethel May (Harrington) Thompson has held on Saturday at 11 a.m. at City View Cemetery Salem. The Rev. Dale Moore of the Silverton First Christian Church officiated.

Mrs. Thompson, a Bend resident for the past six years, died Wednesday at a local nursing home. She was 75. She made her home at 1335 NE Watson Drive.

She was born May 13, 1905, in Findlay, Ohio, to parents Riley Abraham and Louise Mahler Mason.

She served as a dorm mother for a year at Northwest Christian College in Eugene. She also worked many years as a clerk for J.C. Penney Co. and was employed for several years by the Department of Motor Vehicles in Salem.

Preceding her in death were her first husband, Delbert Harrington, in 1952, and her second husband, Jesse Thompson, in 1976.

Survivors include three daughters, Delene May Rold of Bend, Nellie Rose Graves of Bend and Betty Ruth Hansen of Newport; a brother, William Carson of Ross River, Yukon Territory, Canada; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Mrs. Thomason was a member of the Bend First Methodist Church and the Golden Notes.
