Obituary (Excerpt) Shenandoah Valley News 07 Jan 2011

Art completed his Army basic training in June of 1946 at Fort Knox, Kentucky. From there he was sent to Seoul, South Korea, where he served as a Military Policeman. He was honorably discharged in 1947.

Burial with complete military honors presented by the Shenandoah American Legion Post #88 followed in the Houser Cemetery in rural Blanchard, Iowa.
