Services for Mildred Laventris Cummings Dewberry, 82, of Ackerman were Oct. 16, 2010, at Double Springs Methodist Church with the Rev. Tommy Temple officiating. Burial was in Clear Springs Primitive Baptist Cemetery.
She was born Feb. 13, 1928, in Choctaw County to the late Olun and Maudie Paxton Cummings of Mathiston. Mrs. Dewberry resided at the Ackerman Nursing Home for the past four years. She died Oct. 14, 2010, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle in Columbus.
Survivors include three sons, Carl Allen Dewberry, David Hugh Dewberry and Garry Lee Dewberry; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Welch Funeral Home of Starkville was in charge of arrangements.
