She departed this life on Monday December 20, 2010 at Southeastern Hospice House, Lumberton, NC making her journey of 88 years.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday December 21, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. at Floyd Funeral Services Chapel in Fairmont with visitation to follow immediately after the service. Burial will take place Wednesday Decemeber 22, 2010 at Green Lawn Memorial 845 Leesburg Rd, Columbia SC at 2:00 p.m.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wolfe Heydeck, by her former husband, Hoyt W. Sale, her brothers, J.M. Connor, Howard Connor, David Connor, and Frank Connor, and a sister, Ella May C. Walker.
She is survived by her sister, Rebecca C. Strickland and husband Frank of Fairmont NC; a stepson, Andrew Heydeck; stepdaughters, Jeanette Weinberg and Patricia Frosch; 6 grandchildren, a great-granddaughter, a well-loved group of nieces and newphews, and a special friend, Libby Drake.
She spent her last four years at Woodhaven Nursing Home of Lumberton, NC and Greenbrier Nursing Home of Fairmont, where she was well-taken care of and remembered as a special lady and as 'the dancing queen.'
She had a lot of love for her family and friends and will be greatly missed and dearly remembered.
