Matilda Bertha Albrecht Randall was born 30 June 1892 to Johann Conrad Albrecht and Eva Katharina Hoffman Albrecht on a farm 9 miles south and 2 miles west of Doland, Spink County, South Dakota. She married Asa Benjamin Randall on 26 June 1914 in Cheyenne Wells, Colorado. Children of this marriage were:

Esther Ruth: 10 August 1915
Bertha Marie: 21 Sept 1916 - 21 Sept 1916
Buelah Mae: 07 Jan 1918 - 14 Feb 2011
Eunice Matilda: 24 Nov 1919 - 20 Aug 1925
Robert Asa: 24 Apr 1923 - 24 Apr 2016

Asa & Matilda Randall homesteaded 160 acres seven miles northwest of Sheridan Lake, Kiowa County, CO. This was located in the SE quarter of Section 22, Township 17, South of Range 44 by the 6th Principal Meridan, Colorado. They obtained the land patent on 27 July 1917. The farm was sold on 18 July 1918 to William B. Brook. The family returned to the Tams farm near Doland, South Dakota and farmed. Later they moved to the James Ellis farm, 3 miles south and 3 miles east of Frankfort, South Dakota. In the early to mid 1930's, the depression and dust bowl years caused them to move to Macon County, Missouri where they lived until their deaths.
