Typhoid Fever Carried Him Away in the Prime of Life

At 6:30 Thursday eve, after but few weeks illness, Frank Ridgley breathed his last. He had been seriously ill but had about recovered and his physician had ceased his visits. On thanksgiving day he indulged quite heartily in the festivities of the day. Soon after he was taken very ill again and continued in severest pain to the end.

The funeral was held at the M.. E. church, Sunday morning, Rev. Calhoun officiating aided by Rev. Predmore with whom Mr. Ridgley and wife had lived for the past year and who gave tribute to the. honesty and upright character of the deceased

Franklin Lloyd Ridgley was the oldest son of William and Louisa Ridgley and. was born in Sangamon township; Oct; 22, 1858.He was reared on the farm. In May, 1887, he went to Colorado and two years later moved to Denver where he was married(to Effie Mitchell)and where they lost their two children, aged three and one half years ,and fifteen months, their deaths occurring within a few hours of each other. In 1894 they came to Monticello where they have since resided.

Mr. Ridgley: was industrious, a fine mechanic and a respected citizen: He had been a member of the M. E. church since 1877.
