age 84, one of the most beloved and widely known citizens of Jackson County, died at her daughter's, Mrs. Sidney Fox's home, Mon. at 7 o'clock, A.M., Jan 23. Funeral was conducted by Rev. John W. Fox at the Byers Cemetery Wed., at 1 o'clock, Jan 25. She is survived by her children and one brother, Thomas E Birdwell and one sister, Mrs. Thomas Edward Anderson. She was the mother of twelve children, 10 of whom survive: Mrs. W(m.) C Aytes, who lives in Tex.;Mr. J. F. Jackson, deceased; Mrs. Sidney (Columbus) Fox, Rt. 3; Mr. Thomas Benton Jackson of Putnam Co.: Mrs. Lucy Harley, deceased; Mr. Hazy Jackson of Sumner County; Mrs. Fate Stout of Jackson County; Mrs. Ida Harley of Oklahoma; Mrs. Henry Chaffin of Sumner Co.; Mr. Bratch Jackson of Sumner Co.; Mr. John K. Jackson of Sumner Co.; Mr. Stanley Jackson, deceased 28 years, 11 months to a day when Mrs. Jackson died. Mrs. Jackson was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Birdwell, deceased. She obeyed the gospel when quite young and lived faithful christain the rest of her life. Born;Dec. 10, 1843 Died: Jan. 23, 1928 at 84. She married Aug., 6, 1861-John Stanley Jackson. The twelfth child not listed is Melvina Ann, who married Joseph L. Petty. I don't know why she wasn't listed, as she didn't die until 1942.
