Lillian was the daughter of Austin Howard Tibbetts and Maude Malles Moulton Tibbetts. Maude and Austin were married on 17 January 1909 in Rockland, Knox County, Maine.

Lillian married Edward Nathaniel Sylvester on 07 May 1934 in Rockland, Knox County, Maine. Lillian and Edward had three children. They were: Donna L. Sylvester was born on ; Austin "Sonny" Nathaniel Sylvester was born on ; and Jerry Sylvester was born on .

Lillian married Arthur Sewall Wotton on 07 January 1952 in Rockland, Knox County, Maine. There were no children from this marriage.

Note: Thomaston - Lillian A. "Lynn" Wotton, 97, died peacefully, at Knox Center for Long Term Care in Rockland. Born in Rockland, she was a twin daughter of Austin and Maude Moulton Tibbetts. Lynn attended Rockland schools. In 1935 she married her first husband Edward Sylvester. Lillian and Edward had three children. As well as being a devoted homemaker and mother, Lynn spent many years working at Van Baalens, retiring in the late 1960s. In 1951 Lynn married Arthur S. Wotton. The couple resided at their Old County Road home until Mr. Wotton's death in 2003, where Lynn has lived since that time. After retiring Lynn was employed with Spruce Head Lobster Company, and sold Avon Products. She also kept horses at her home and gave riding lessons. She could often be seen riding her horses in area parades. A very active woman, Lynn enjoyed traveling, particularly to Tucson, Arizona. She took great pleasure in riding a moped and ultimately traded up to a Honda Scooter. She enjoyed square dancing and attending area dances with her husband. Her family remembers her devotion to her children and grandchildren. She was a member of the Weymouth Grange in Thomaston. Other than her husband, Lynn was predeceased by her twin sister Laura, a brother Reynold and her daughter Donna Merrow in 1992. She is survived by a son Austin "Sonny" and his wife Jane of Warren; a daughter Jerry of Thomaston; two sisters, Pat of Camden, Dorothy of Fort Myers, Florida, seven grandchildren, Darryl, Daphane, Austin, Hillary, Harold, Vickie, Pamela; eleven great -grandchildren; and one great- great- grandson.
