Ricky M. Higgins
Former employee of Miles Rubber
Ricky M. Higgins, 47, of 103 5th St., died Tuesday, June 7, 2005.
A native of Cherokee County, he was the son of Pearl Horne Higgins of Blacksburg and the late Arthur M. Higgins. He was a member of First United Pentecostal Church and a former employee of Miles Rubber.
Also surviving are two daughters, Mindi Ann Porter of Earl, N.C., and Ashley Cierra Higgins of Gaffney; a sister, Kay H. Williams of Blacksburg; a brother, Jerry Horne of Gaffney; and two grandchildren.
In addition to his father, Mr. Higgins was preceded in death by a brother, Larry Higgins.
Graveside services will be held Thursday at 3 p.m. at Oakland Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the cemetery immediately following the service and at other times they will be at the home of his mother at 210 Mountain View Drive, Blacksburg.
