Huey Hemphill, 76, went Home to be with the Lord on August 17, 2010. Preceded in death by his much beloved daugher, Lillian Laneve "Lynn"; a brother, Robert; and sister, Norma. He is survived by his loving wife of almost 58 years, Maxine Hemphill; daughter, Lona (Gary) Stokes; Steve (Lee) Hemphill; Eric Hemphill; grandchildren Melanie Herman, Tara and Adam Stokes, Mike and Matthew Hemphill; great-grandchild Noah Michael Herman, brothers, William and Charles of Safford, AZ. He retired from working as a produce manager after many years of dedicated work, and also ran a TV repair service. He loved to tell jokes and could always see humor in everything. He loved his family and possessed a strong love for the Lord. That twinkle in his eye, that powerhouse belly laugh, his beautiful singing voice and ability to play any musical instrument he chose to play, will be sorely missed. He was the Atlas of our family, holding us all up, talking about his faith and his love of God. Now, he rests in the arms of God, in perfect peace.
