Slim married Pearl Marie Nelson April 19, 1927. The marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. She preceded him in death April 1984. One son and one granddaughter also preceded him in death. He is survived by children, Aileen Ferguson of Murray, Ray and Lois Black of Lehi, Ann and Norm Chase of Portland OR, George and Kass Black of Birdseye, and Marie and Howard Kirk of Springville; 26 grandchildren, 64 great-grandchildren, 20 great-great-grandchildren.
