Robert O. Bowlin, 64, of Abilene, passed away Friday, December 17, 2010. A Memorial Service will be Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at North's Memorial Chapel, 242 Orange Street with Ivan Meissner officiating.

Mr. Bowlin was reared in Snyder, Texas and was an Air Force Veteran. He married Sue Moreland on February 26, 1966 in Snyder. They moved to Abilene in 1980. He was a field engineer for NCR for 27 years. He was a member of the Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Sue Bowlin; one daughter, Terri Bowlin of Abilene; one son, Kirk Bowlin of Palm Springs, California; his mother, Ina Bowlin of Abilene; one sister, Joan Foster of Abilene, and one brother, Gerald Bowlin of Oklahoma.

I worked with Robert during all his years with NCR and enjoyed doing so. He was a dedicated worker and very good at his work.
I have thought of him many times and wished to see him and prayed for him and his family. They suffered much hardship with Bob's medical problem. My wife, Pat and I wish Sue and the family peace and joy for the remainder of their years.
