Hall of Fame Major League Baseball Player. During his 15 year career Catfish Hunter won 224 games and lost 166 games. His career began in 1965, when he came up with the Kansas City (later Oakland) Athletics, and ended in 1979 with the New York Yankees. He won 21 games 5 times, was an 8-time American League All-Star, and won the 1974 American League Cy Young Award. He died from ALS, or Lou Gehrig's Disease. Inducted into Hall of Fame in 1987.
