CODEN - Esther Ola Cox Sprinkle, a Latham native and a Coden resident, died Saturday at her residence. She was 91.
Ms. Sprinkle was an active member of the Church of God of Prophecy of Bayou La Batre, and was a correspondent for the outreach and missionary programs of her church.
She is survived by two sons, W.E. "Hank" Sprinkle of Bay Minette and David Sprinkle of Pensacola, Fla.; four daughters, Myrtle Stewart of Molino, Fla., Rhoada Barber of Splendora, Texas, Hilda Felix of Coden and Ola Johnson of Irvington; 23 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be at 5 p.m. Monday at the Church of God of Prophecy in Bayou La Batre. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the church. Burial will be in Oddfellows Cemetery.
Arrangements are by Serenity Funeral Home.
