Wife of George O. Odom.
Mrs. Amanda P. Odum [sic Odom], 83, of Lecompte, died at 11:10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 11, 1952 at her residence. She is survived by three sons, L. O. Odom of Baton Rouge, Dr. L. W. Odom of Glenmora and Overton Odom of Lecompte; two daughters, Mrs. Joe Carter of Oak Ridge, La. and Mrs. V. P. Roberts of Morrow, La.; one brother, James Dunn of Forest Hill; 16 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Funeral service were held at the residence in Lecompte at 2:30 p.m. Sunday with Revs. Charles Freeman and J. N. Winegart officiating. Interment was in Greenwood Memorial Park under the direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Otto Pittman, George Pittman, Lucius Odom Jr., Buddy Wise, C. R. Henderson and Joe R[h]oner.
