Elizabeth Galanti

Elizabeth Galanti, 88, of Lopatcong Twp., NJ, formerly of Phillipsburg, died Friday, January 14, 2000 in Warren Hospital, Phillipsburg, NJ.

She was a former sewing machine operator and had worked for various area mills.

Born November 14, 1911 in Phillipsburg, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Catherine Bubba Bock.

She was a member of St. Philip and St. James Catholic Church in Phillipsburg and its Over-Fifties Club.

Her husband, the late Earl O. Galanti, proprietor of Earl's Barber Shop on Center Street in Phillipsburg from 1952 to 1975, died May 6, 1978.

She is survived by two daughters, Catherine Dauphin of Mission Viejo, CA and Mary Ann DeRea of Mt. Bethel, Pa., seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Two brothers, Guy and Arthur Bock and three sisters, Rose Bubba, Mary Butto and Anna Tolotta all died earlier.

Funeral services will be held 9:00 am Tuesday from the Noto-Wynkoop Funeral Home, 289 South Main St., Phillipsburg, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. in St. Philip and St. James Church, 426 South Main St., Phillipsburg. A calling hour will be held 8:00 a.m. until time of services Tuesday in the funeral home. Burial will be in the parish cemetery, Greenwich Twp., NJ.
