She married Joseph East in Alabama about 1838 and they had a family of two children, Mary and Joseph Bennett before her husband, Joseph, died. She married Michael Bonds about 1846. They journeyed to Henderson/Kaufman Co, TX in the same time frame as her brother, James Turner Peel and his sons, William Henry Peel and James Monroe Peel (probably with the same wagon train). Family tradition places her burial site in the Guthrie Cemetery. Her husband, Michael Bonds, died about 1870, and his burial place is unknown. Her son, Lemuel Bonds, and daughter, Martha Bonds Carr, are buried in the Guthrie Cemetery. It is unknown whether any of the Bonds infant graves were babies of Sally and Michael.
