There is confusion as to the identity of Nathaniel Round[s]:

A Nathaniel Round was born 3 Aug 1757 in Rehoboth, Massachusetts. The son of George Round & Ruth Horton. --- Rehoboth VRs

There is a Nathaniel Round who married Avis Chase on 29 May 1777 in Rehoboth.

His name appears in the Abstract of Graves of Revolutionary Patriots; Volume: 3; Serial: 11831; Volume: 4: Nathaniel Round, Pierce Cemetery opp Colebrook, Rehoboth, MA.

Also, Martha (Wheeler) Round applied for a widow's pension in 1828 on her husband's service as a Private in the Company of Capt. Downie of the Regiment commanded by Col. Walfren in the Massachusetts line for 16 months. She states he died June 1828. Recorded Book A, Vol 2, page [torn].

She also states he served in other units. Eight months with Capt. Samuel Bliss of Roxbury in 1775. Also under Capt. Bullock in Col Carpenter's Regiment in Rhode Island in 1778 for an additional 1-1/2 months. There is confusion as to when and under whom he served.

They were married 15 Apr 1771 in Rehoboth by Elder John Hix.
