Lois Faye Beckles of Columbia, S.C., died Saturday, Dec. 11, 2010. Graveside service: 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 18, in Laurel Land Memorial Park in Dallas. Services have been entrusted to Singing Hills Funeral Home of Dallas. Honorary pallbearers: Alfred Thompson, Brian Patrick, Terry Capone, Michael O. McKiinney, Jimmy L. Johnson and James H. Baltimore III. Lois Faye was born Sept. 18, 1917, in Cushing to Lizzie Sirls and William Brown. At the time of her passing, she resided in Columbia with her daughter. She was a member of Pilgrim Valley Missionary Baptist Church in Fort Worth, where she was a member of the Senior Usher Auxiliary, Mission #2, the Health Awareness Team and the Pastor's Aide Society. Lois was preceded in death by her parents; an unborn daughter; and brother. Survivors: Daughter, Evelyn E. Martin of Columbia, S.C.; son, Alfred Thompson (Mildred) of Brooklyn, N.Y.; granddaughter, Dionne Patrick; great-grandson, Brian Patrick; sister, Toni Manuel (William); and other relatives and friends.
