: 'Senior Chief Patrick Ronnell Franklin, 36, formerly of Paris, passed away May 30, 2004, at Lutheran General Hospital, Chicago, Ill., following a motorcycle accident. Funeral services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday, June 5, at Solid Rock Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Restlawn Garden Cemetery under the direction of Maxey Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. He was born Sept. 12, 1967. He joined the United States Navy on June 29, 1986, and completed recruit training in San Diego, Calif. He served in Jacksonville, Fla.; Norfolk, Va.; Bremerton, Wash.; China; Japan; Africa; and Saudi Arabia. He recently received highest honors of Senior Chief on April 2004. He leaves to cherish his memories his children, Jasmine, Zachary and Taylor of Chicago; his mother, Donna Gail Crussell of Paris; his father, Joe Evans Franklin of Dangerfield; sisters, Gayle Ferguson and husband, Darwin, of Paris, Gwendolyn Hart and husband, David, of Baytown, DaShata Franklin of Dangerfield and LaCresa Franklin of Fort Worth; brothers, Kendrick Crussell and Jeremy Crussell of Paris; grandmother, Lillie McCuin of Paris; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.'
