--Services for Mabel(sic) M. Bowman, 89, 176 E. Sixth St., Peru, will be Saturday at 1:30 p.m. in the Flowers-Leedy Funeral Home. She died Monday in Covina, Cal.
--She was born Nov. 7, 1891, to Zadoc and Mary Ann Landrum Smith. In 1914 she was married to Charles E. Bowman, who died in 1968.
--She was a retired school teacher.
--Surviving are three sons, Everett, Indianapolis; Earl, LaHabre, Cal.; and Clyde, Covina, Cal.; three daughters, Mary Baber, Covina, Cal.; Ruth Patterson, Peru; and Esther Rockwell, Peru; 19 grandchildren, 16 Great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
--Burial will be in the Parklawn Cemetery, Amboy, with the Rev. Don Eskew officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home Friday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m.
