Horton, Kan.,- Francisca L. Cortez, 74, died Thursday at a local nursing home.
Mrs. Cortez, born in Leon, Mexico, lived in Horton most of her life.
She is survived by her husband Donald Cortez of the home, 531 W Ninth St. here; five sons, Anthony Cortez and Bernard Cortez, both of East Moline, Ill., John Cortez, St. Joseph, Mo., Fermin Cortez, Rock Island,Ill., and Raymond Cortez of Glendale Ariz.,; four daughters, Rita Vasquez, Walnut Creek, Calif., Juanita Kimmi, Horton, Kan., Julia Rocha of St. Joseph, Mo., and Frances Lopez of san Jose, Calif.,; one brother, Vincent Landin Jr. of Horton Kan., 27 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Leo's Catholic Church here. Burial will be in the church Cemetery.
The family rosary will be recited at 7:30 this evening at the Chaney chapel here, with the parish rosary at 8p.m. Sunday at the chapel.
