Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today and from 1 p.m. until service time Saturday, both at the funeral home.
Mrs. Brooks was born July 1, 1950, in Natchez, the daughter of James Williams Powers and Myrtle Frances Wreyford Powers. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Vidalia.
She was preceded in death by her father.
Survivors include her husband, Barney "Booger" Brooks; one daughter, Brenda Nawadny and husband, Jay, of Vidalia; two grandchildren, Kaitlyn Nawadny and Landon Nawadny, both of Vidalia; her mother of Natchez; three brothers, Lee Powers and wife, Donna, of Natchez, Allen Powers and wife, Ernie, of Knoxville, Tenn., and Jerry Powers of Baker, La.; a number of nieces, nephews; and special friend, Janie Johnson of Natchez.
Pallbearers will be Donald Moree, Karl Netherland, Brad Cockerham, Trace Cockerham, Paul Riggs and Calvin Wallace.
Honorary pallbearers will be Sewell Morgan and Tal Morgan.
