He spent his entire life in Keokuk County. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Wesley Hubbs. On March 11, 1914, he was married to Irene Estes. They were the parents of four children. Marie, Frankie, Evelyn and Harold, all at home.
He leaves his wife; four children; two sisters and one brother, Mrs. Florence Greiner of Galena, Illinois, Mrs. Rose Gist of Westminster, Maryland and Dave Hubbs of Washington; three half brothers, Harry Hubbs of Ollie, Wesley Hubbs of Oskaloosa and Charley Hubbs of Gault, Missouri.
His parents, two half-brothers and two sisters preceded him in death.
Funeral services were at the Baptist Church in Ollie Saturday afternoon, in charge of the Rev. John Ballensky of Sigourney. Burial was in the Keota Cemetery.
