She was born March 30, 1920, to Alvin Romanzo and Sarah Leota Scott Beardall in Springville, Utah.
She married Heber W. Cox April 15, 1938.
Leota is survived by a son, Glen W. Cox; daughters: Irene Cox; Karen (Sherm) Watkins and Joyce (Walter) Forseca e Silva; four brothers: Ray Beardall, Donald Beardall, Scott Beardall and Melvin Beardall; three sisters: Leola Hamann, Ida Hardy and Jeannett Jones; eight grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren.
Leota was preceded in death by her husband, parents, one brother, Oran Beardall; two sisters, Doratha Cook and Jean Merryweather; one grandson, Brian Scott Watkins.
