Lucinda Amelia Trotter, daughter of James W. & Polly B. Trotter was born in Elm River Township near Enterprise and spent her entire life near the place of her birth.

She was united in marriage to Frank W. Sparr December 17, 1882. To this union eleven children were born. Four preceded her in death: Minnie Jane, Mary Florence, Jacob Franklin, and William Clark. A sister, Mrs. Ollie Crumbacker, passed away July 4, 1938.

Several years ago she was converted and united with the Baptist Church at Enterprise where she retained her membership until she passed away.

She had been in failing health for some time suffering with ailments incident to her advanced age. She was eighty years, four months, and three days old at the time of her death March 19th.

She leaves to mourn her passing her companion, three sons, Fred, Charley, and Edd; four daughters, Cora Stein, Millie Laird, Stella & Edna; three brothers Wayne, Frank, & Albert; four sisters, Arbella & Alice Farris, Jane Campbell Hillis, and Maggie Fitch.

Services were held at the family home with burial in Laird Cemetery.
