Charles Frank Stein, retired cement finisher, died yesterday at his residence, 416 E. 8th St., Newport. He was 72 years old.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Catherine Stein, eight daughters, Sister M. Alice C.D.P., Melbourne; Sister Mary Mathilda C.D.P., Kalida, Ohio, Mrs. Gertrude Ginter, Newport; ; Mrs. Loretta Gampfer, Southgate; Mrs. Norma Melching, Ft. Thomas; Mrs. Dorothy Brendenberg, Erlanger; Mrs. Rita Weber, Highland Heights; and Mrs. Ruth Lonther, Bellevue; five sons, Charles M. Stein, Covington; Lawrence C. Stein, Newport; Donald F. Stein, Cincinnati, and Robert E. and Roy J.Stein, Southgate; a brother John Stein, Newport; two sisters, Miss May Stein, Ft. Thomas and Mrs. Lillian Wilke, Cincinnati; 26 grandchildren and five great grand children.

Solemn Requiem High Mass will be sung at 9 a.m. Tuesday in St. Stephen Church, Newport. Burial will be in St. Stephen Cemetery Southgate. Friends may call after 4 p.m. tomorrow at the Radel Funeral Home, Newport.
