James had been a carpenter for about 30 years. He died of consumption for 6 months and phthisis for 1 year.
The memorial window facing the north and overlooking St. Andrew Street in Melville Church, Fergus, was placed there to the memory of Mr. and Mrs. James Cattanach, Jr., by their family.
