JEFFERSON, S.D.- Dewey Maynard, 58, of Jefferson died April 19 at his home after a long illness. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. April 22 in the Anderson Funeral Home at Elk Point. The Rev. Ralph Burdette of the Congressional Church in Westfield, Iowa will officiate. Visitation will be at 7:30 p.m. April 21. Burial will be in the ceemtery at Richland. Mr. Maynard was born June 22, 1915 in Union County. he married Dorothy Mae Wise on March 13, 1934 at Craig, Iowa. He lived in Woodbury County, Iowa and union County all his life. He had been employed as a mechanic at various places in Sioux City.
Survivors include the widow; a son, Delbert of Elk Point; two grandsons; his mother, Mrs. Chauncey Maynard of Sioux City; two brothers; Ira J. and Sidney V;, both of Sioux City, and two sisters, Mrs. George (Loie) Beach and Mrs. Cloie Nearman, both of Sioux City.
