Francis D. Rock (Frank)-Born 1 Sep 1888 in Bridgeport Ct. Francis Rock married Sarah Ellen Carey abt. 1914 in Waterbury Cn. They had three children: Ann Gertrude, Frances and John Francis. After graduating from high school Francis went to Bridgeport College where he was an outstanding football player. After college Frank worked for the American Chain Company. Francis then moved to Waterbury Ct. where he worked for Barlow's Sheet Metals and played semi-professional football for the Mulligan Blues Football Team . This was a time before the NFL and local football teams where how the sport progressed. The Mulligan Blues were one of the strongest teams in New England. Francis died before 23 Jul 1949 in Waterbury Ct.
