Patricia Whitlock Shell, 69, of Vinton, went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, December 14, 2010. She was a member of Lynn Haven Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Thelma Whitlock, three brothers, infant Tommy, Buddy and Bill Whitlock. Surviving are her husband of 50 years, Carl G. Shell, Jr. (Buck); children, Ann Marie Shell, Sharon and husband, Walt Fisher, Michael and wife, Sherri Shell and Mark Shell. She is also survived by grandchildren, Alex and Jarrett Fisher and Christine and Amanda Shell; sisters, Sandra and Rick Hahn, Bette and Bob Shively, and brothers, Barton and Ann Whitlock and Bobby Whitlock.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m., Friday, December 17, 2010 at Oakey's Vinton Chapel with the Rev. Steve Manuel officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Burial Park. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, December 16, 2010, at Oakey's Vinton Chapel, 540-982-2221.
