Michelle Maynard, age 42, wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend, went home to be with our Lord at Memorial Hermann Trauma Center, Houston, TX on Thursday, December 9, 2010 following a courageous battle with diabetes. She was born December 6, 1968, in White Plains, New York. She attended and graduated Sandalwood High School in 1986.
Michelle recently completed her Bachelors of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies in 2010 while working towards fulfilling her goal of becoming a teacher.
Michelle leaves behind a loving husband of 20 years, Bob; a son, Matthew Haddad, and three beautiful daughters, Claudia, Amelia and Maryssa; her mother, Linda Podany (Don) and father, Frank Landi (Janet); father and mother in-law, Emile and Denise Maynard. She is also survived by her sister, Gina Hardin (Joe), step-brother, Donny Podany (Erin) and two sister in-laws, Diane Boulard (Kevin) and Carole Severance (Russ).
Visitation will be held at the Corey-Kerlin Funeral Home, 940 Cesery Blvd. on Friday, December 17th, from 6-8pm, with a Rosary at 7pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday morning at 9:00 a.m., December 18th, 2010 at Christ the King Catholic Church, 742 Arlington Road, Jacksonville, FL. Interment will be in Jacksonville National Cemetery, 4083 Lannie Rd. at 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 20th. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the American Diabetes Association.
