Funeral services for Pfc. Wyman Charles Schifferdecker, Dallas Marine killed on Iwo Jima March 6, 1945, will be held at 4 p. m. Saturday at Weiland Funeral Church, 2909 Live Oak.

He was born in Dallas May 18, 1925, the son of Mr. and Mrs H. C. Schifferdecker, 619 Mount Auburn. He was graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in 1943 and was employed here by the United States Army Engineers prior to his enlistment in the Marine Corps November 11, 1944. He was a flame thrower with the 5th Division.

He was a member of Mount Auburn Christian Church.

The Rev. Lester R. Rickman will officiate at funeral services. Burial will be in Grove Hill Cemetery.

Surviving are his parents of Dallas; and his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. C. Reed of Dallas, and Mrs. Mary Schifferdecker of Illinois.

A Marine guard will serve as pallbearers.
