Ahrens, daughter of Newton and Ina Hatton Graham, was born Jan. 2, 1896, on a farm near Edgar. She attended and graduated from Edgar High School. She taught for many years in rural schools in Clay and Nuckolls counties. She later worked at the Edgar dry goods drug stores.
She was united in marriage to Henry Ahrens in 1944. He died in 1948.
She was a member of the Church of the Plains and Presbyterian Women and a charter member of the Women's Club.
Survivors include two step-daughters, Mary Gunn and Doris Wallace, both of Edgar.
