Bessie was the daughter of John Stout and Willie Tannehill Stout. In the 1900 census she lived with her parents in Mountain, Choctaw Nation, I.T., they moved there from Ozark County, Missouri.
She married George W. Webster July 21, 1904 in Indian Territory, what is now Poteau, LeFlore County, OK. They had twelve children.
Shortly after her marriage to George they moved to Blackgum, Sequoyah County, OK. Bessie was a tough, hard working woman and always carried a pistol in her pockett. Bessie loved her family, and they loved her. Her son Jimmie told me what a good cook she was, he said she made the best biscuits he ever ate. The grandchildren remember her large flower garden, and how you better not get caught playing in it.
